The Embassy of Italy in Abidja hereby informs that, from 12 February 2026 at 5:00 p.m. (Abidjan time) until 17 February 2026 at 11:00 p.m. (Abidjan time), the VIS IT system will undergo a temporary shutdown.
This scheduled and urgent technical intervention will result in the temporary suspension of all activities related to the receipt and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas. The suspension will affect both the Visa Office of the Embassy of Italy in Abidjan and the centre operated by VFS Global – Côte d’Ivoire, located on Rue des Carrossiers, Treichville Zone 3, Centre commercial HLM, ground floor.
To minimise inconvenience to the public, appointments already scheduled will be rearranged in the days immediately before or after the shutdown period, taking into due consideration priority needs and urgent cases.
